Acoustic Screen Material Options
Currently Silver Ticket Products offers 5 types of acoustically transparent screen materials made to put speakers behind the screen material. The 5 materials are the 2GP, AGP, WAB, WVS and Matte White Perforated (-P).
The WAB material is readily available as it sells on many different marketplaces on the internet. The WAB is a woven acoustic white material with black backing included (black backing is not included when purchasing material only). The WAB material works with all projector types from Long Throw to Ultra Short Throw projectors. The WAB is recommended for dark rooms.
The WVS material is currently only available directly from Silver Ticket Products. The WVS is a woven acoustic white material with black backing included (black backing is not included when purchasing material only). The WVS material works with all projector types from Long Throw to Ultra Short Throw projectors. The WVS is recommended for dark rooms. The WVS is sort of an upgrade to the WAB as it is a whiter material that offers truer color. The WVS is also a finer weave that allows the audience to sit closer to the screen material. With the finer weave offered by the WVS it will continue to be compatible with higher resolution projectors of the future.
The AGP material is currently only available directly from Silver Ticket Products. The AGP is a dark grey perforated material with black backing included (black backing is not included when purchasing material only). The AGP material works with Long Throw projectors. The AGP is recommended for rooms with some ambient light. Since the AGP is a micro perforated screen, it is recommended to sit further back than the woven screen materials.
The 2GP material is currently only available directly from Silver Ticket Products. The 2GP is a light grey perforated material with black backing included (black backing is not included when purchasing material only). The 2GP material works with Long Throw, Short Throw projectors and Ultra Short Throw. The 2GP is recommended for rooms with minimal ambient light. Since the 2GP is a micro perforated screen, it is recommended to sit further back than the woven screen materials.
The Matte White Perforated (-P) material is currently only available directly from Silver Ticket Products. The -P is our standard matte white black backed material perforated with separate woven cloth black backing included (woven cloth black backing is not included when purchasing material only). The -P material works with Long Throw, Short Throw projectors and Ultra Short Throw. The -P is recommended for rooms that are dark. Since the -P is a micro perforated screen, it is recommended to sit further back than the woven screen materials.
